According to the statistics published by French analytical company XiTi Monitor share of Firefox in the market of browsers in the past year has continued the growth. Mainly due to reduction of a share of browser Internet Explorer. Most strongly positions of an alternative browser have got stronger in the European territory.

According to XiTi for December of the last year market share of Forefox made 28 %. Thus year earlier this parameter did not exceed 23,1 %, and two years ago – 20 %. The greatest love to a browser from Mozilla is shown by inhabitants of Finland where Firefox use about 45,5 % of users. On the second and third place among the European countries there is  Slovenia (44,6 %) and Poland (42,4 %) informs ArsTechnica.

In December of the last year the share of browser Internet Explorer was reduced to 0,9 % – up to 66,1 %. During same period Firefox was possible to strengthen the presence in the market on 0,7 %. It is remarkable that only 2 % from the general number of the European users use browser Safari.

It is interesting that only half of users of Interner Explorer work with the seventh version of a browser. Thus of 93 % of supporters Firefox prefer the second version ” fiery the fox “. Meanwhile, in opinion of analysts, the output of final version Firefox 3 (now there is a beta-testing) will provoke the next growth of the user base of a browser.
